Tylney Road
Situated on a leafy street in close proximity to Wanstead Flats, AB.Co designed a replacement extension for the client, which opens out to views of the garden. The existing rear kitchen was dark, with poor lighting, and the new rear extension creates a spacious open-plan living space for entertaining, focusing on the garden — two elements the client specifically requested in the initial brief.

The landscaping of the garden has been populated with long grasses, mimicking the wildness of the closely located Wanstead Flats.
The interior finishes are paired back and natural. Exposed douglas fir beams and a raw plaster finish add texture and warmth to the space.
