Liverpool Road
We were appointed to rework a poorly laid out rear living space. We redesigned the area to function as a flexible open-plan kitchen, dining, and living space, focusing on entertainment and social gatherings to meet the clients’ needs. A spacious central opening offers views of the rear garden, while large rooflights have been incorporated to bathe the interior in daylight. We selected a dark handmade brick to compliment the main house, providing a striking contrast to the light and warm natural timber finishes in the interior.

The structure of the pitched roof is exposed internally, with douglas fir joists that match the bespoke douglas fir joinery in the space. We believe the use of natural materials enhances a users well-being when using the space, something our clients were particularly keen on. A large rooflight runs the length of the space, flooding natural light into the open plan living space.
